Have you ever paused for a moment
for a dragonfly that circles a place
where it should have not appeared
for a habitat that was lost
without its realization

Have I put it too blatantly
that it counteracts all poetic potentials
that might otherwise have been achieved
through a dragonfly's tragic reminiscence
of its phantom home
that was destroyed for our pleasure
