why bother

This morning I read news about human rights abuses in China. One headline after another. It looks like that a bloody revolution is needed over there to dismantle the tyranny. But the real question is what are they capable of building afterwards. If they are just going to repeat what all other rules have done, they may as well remain happy slaves of the empire and pray that God will strike down a lightning on those who commit evil.

It makes me laugh and despise and cry. Now that I am a safe distance away, why do I even bother?
