I miss a certain smell
A summer night by the Han river
Breezy and peaceful
I swung under the stars
With millions of questions about them
The frogs never stopped to ask
Why so curious a little girl
Love was so generously given
Unconditionally and resolutely
Dinner laid on the stone table
I sat down under the plane tree and ate fast
Knowing that when I finished
I would have the loudest cricket to catch
My sister told me about her secret guardians
When we took a siesta together inside the mosquito net
A smoky green over and above us
Her pandas , dragons, tigers and phoenixes hovering about
At their Ladyship's service
I was promised my very own if I be a good girl
