a fortiori

[note: the title is irrelevant to the content of this post.]

Complaints about birds

The upstair couple installed a bird bath which explained why all of a sudden we had rainbow lorikeets (check spelling) around the building again. The adult parrots are already amongst the noisiest birds in the neighbourhood, a fortiori, their youngs who hiss -literally hissing- for hours on end, worse than the three fledging learning-to-chirp magpies we had late last year.

Complaints about lefthand neighbour

The Cantonese couple and their child were a classic. First, the child was living overseas, possibly with grandparents. The couple who had the most irritating poker faces for a random neighbourly greeting had no qualm to perform some of the loudest quarrels with doors, facing the quite street, widely ajar. Now their child was returned, having been spoilt badly by nan, took over their small noise production workshop by a note 40 decibels higher with his constant, inconsolable shrieks or cries over some, i suspect, the minorest matters.

Complaints about the dole

It has taken me at least 4 hours to get to finalize the initial claim. And another 2 hrs reasonably for an employment counselling. Then after that, queueing up every 2 weeks (50 mintues on foot to and from) to get the dole of $400. That would be at least 3 hours per handout. The hourly rate is approximately $100/h for my time. Guess I really shouldn't complain about anything.
